I must admit, although I did get an invitation, and did accumulate / use many FF points, I did not accumulate the points in the way Qantas would have wanted me to....

I wonder if the fellow who wants to ammass a near 175k QF FF balance kitty purely by credit cards only will succeed.
This would be the way to go (in the pov of that OP), but not really in QF's favour. No FF earned from flights, but other means of earn only!/?
Since 1997, I have flown to ADL to SYD to KUL return (when QF still flew the SYD to KUL route), ADL to PER to SIN return, ADL to many Australian capital cities, CHC to SYD to ADL on EK but with a QF flight number...
I have flown 330/767/737/Dash8 under the QF banner in 17 years.
But if Ms Grant is only doing the MEL/SYD/BNE circuits, then I can't attend.

So have just received an invitation but there is no way to decline, only to accept.

I'll be overseas on that date otherwise I would've attended. However, I believe it is good manners to respond to an invitation even if only to decline because of a prior engagement.

My invitation for MEL on the 8th came through. - they must be near the bottom of the barrel.

Obviously the my booking section of the website doesn't work for QF either as ill be in the air then, unless she is planning on a meeting on QF94?

So sadly no attendance from me, it's a shame really as forming an AFF rugby scrum to tackle anyone who says "enhancement" is always fun.

I just got one of these as well for the Melbourne function. It must be based on total points earned because while I have racked up over half a million points on CC spend in the past 12 months I have flown very little with QF in the last year.

Got an invitation this morning. Don't know why it had to be done in the last minute. My flights for next week are already booked and I will be in SYD on the day but maybe I will manage to make it back to MEL on time for this.
