EDIT: do you pay an annual fee for this card?
i do and got the original invite.

2 other people I know have this as free in their mortage and didnt get the offer originally

Yes, I pay the annual fee for this card. My mortgage package is elsewhere.

Eventually received an email saying they were coming (late last week, IIRC) and I was getting 1000 extra points for my trouble. I received the 1000 and then the "main" points that same evening.

I think they're 200-300 short on the "main" points (I suspect maybe my local BP which, alongside some other BP stations, shows as AA on my card statements) but I guess the 1000 cover that.
