Just received my bonus points, only to recieve 80k instead of 110k even though i applied through a referral link from this site which was clearly for the 110k well before the offer ceased. How should i proceed to sort this out as for me it was only worth it for 110k and not satisfied at all with 80k.

Applied 15th September, got cards and activated them in the 22nd Sept, spend completed 25th Octoberr and points posted on wednesday last week. Never rang before, are they any good with customer service?

Amex are generally very good. Should have no problems if the facts stack up.

I'm new to the forum and wondering if anyone can help.

I currently have an Amex Velocity frequent flyer but unfortunately i took out an additional card on her Name as well. We have never really used it and her card wasn't even activated.


Just wondering if she would be eligible for this offer?

Ben, if her card is only a supplementary on your account then I think she would be eligible (i.e. she doesn't have an account in her own name.)

I signed up mid Oct, spent the min $500. How long does it take to get my 80k velocity points? Also the points for spending money on the card? Cheers.View attachment 58876

Just secure message and ask why no triple points for the pizza co. May be trading under a different type of retailer.

Like Briar said, she will be elegible. But be aware that the promo is no longer 100k points. Currently it's 50k standard, or 80k with referral

My 110k came through 4th Nov and I was approved late Sept.

Got my PER-SYD flight on 31 Dec in Bus for 33k (+$17). Flights were getting procey for 30/31st so happy enough.

Can't remember whose referral I used but hope you got your 20k.

You probably are yet to receive your first statement?

That should show (on the last page) the velocity points earn as well as the $349 fee shown as a separate transaction from your transactions. The sweep across to VFF does not occur until later though.

I signed up Sep 30, spent <$1,000 in first month (ex Annual fee), but statement showed the 110,000 points paid.
