AmEx Qantas Ultimate: 100K/40K Points via Referral Link

It was so fast. Amex credited the points in their system straight away but it took a little while for them to transfer to qantas. The points are now in my Qantas account and I haven't even received my first statement yet.

Got my referral bonus points and my 100k promo offer together. Fortunately they were entered separately so the 125 k points club transaction limit was avoided.

My +1 needs some extra points towards renewing points club and would appreciate anyone using her referral link:

She'll receive 40,000 points and you get 90,000 (70k initially and 20k in the second year).
There are also offers for alternative cards (click on "View our other cards"):
Qantas Business Rewards Card: 150,000 QF points + $250 in travel credit ($450 fee/$6,000 spend)
Platinum Business Card: 300,000 Membership Rewards points ($1,750 fee/$12,000 spend).

Thanks in advance....

Hi all, thought I'd post my link here for anyone thinking of signing up for the Amex Qantas Ultimate as the current offer ends shortly on the 20th of January.

You get 90,000 QFF points, I get 40,000 QFF points using the following link:

Cheers

I'm finally free from the time-out box with Amex and looking to apply for the Ultimate card.

Any advice re better to apply now for 70k QF miles or wait until after 20 Jan?

Of course, I'll use a referral code.

Isn't it 70k + 20k in the second year??

While i suspect a larger bonus next offer, i wouldn't be surprised if the up front is reduced for a bigger tail in year two.

I've got the 90k offer - throwing my hat in the ring too. Friend receives 90k and I get 40k

I wouldn't mind if this is the case tbh. I believe you need to hold on to AMEX longer so the 2nd year greater bonus would definitely be a good thing, at least for me.
Re:referral happy to help someone who has been helping others in this forum.. :)

New Ultimate offer is out. Key points are
- can earn 100k QF points vs the previous 90k. This is based on 70k year 1 then 30k year 2.
- minimum spend is $5k in 3 months. Up from $3k for previous offer.
- must apply by 05 May

I'll be applying this weekend. If anyone gets a referral offer for the new 100k, let me know and I'll be happy to use that.

Use this link Great offer for my friends and family! While 70k in the first year isn't amazing, there's another easy 50k points in the second year

Up to 120,000

bonus Qantas Points. That’s 70,000 bonus Qantas Points when they apply online by 17 November 2026 for the Qantas American Express Ultimate Card using your referral link, are approved and spend $5,000 on eligible purchases in the first 3 months from Card approval date. Plus, earn an additional 50,000 bonus Qantas Points when they spend a further $5,000 on eligible purchases within the first 3 months of their second year of Card membership. New American Express Card Members only. T&Cs apply.

Throwing my hat in the ring here as let’s be honest, with 1 October fast approaching, cards like this will be going the way of the Dodo. 70,000 points in the 1st year + 50,000 points in the 2nd is decent but the real kicker for this one is the 1.25pts/$ on everyday spend and a massive 2.25pts/$ on spend with Qantas. No sign of this earn rate changing as yet. Add in the $450 travel credit & 2 lounge passes per year and it becomes a no brainer.

Plus, if you’re kind enough to use my referral when signing up I will receive 80,000pts as a referral bonus.

am i reading you right, 80k as the referral bonus? what are the current limits?

I was also under the impression amex were not captured by the upcoming limits on on interchange?

That’s correct, my referral bonus is 80,000 Qantas points. Do you mean the limit to how many referral bonus points I am able to earn? I am referring from a business account which has a much higher max referral limit than the personal cards. Think it’s 10m points per year or thereabouts. Nothing I will remotely approach anyway. 😂

Yes, Amex not captured by the impending changes. For the time being earn rates remain much better than the banks are able to offer.
