If American Express want people to pay HUGE card fee's they need to make sure the benefits match the cost!!!

I just checked with the service provider (Chubb) and they confirmed ZERO Covid health or travel insurance!

Hard to justify $1750AUD without it!

I don't think there's any surprise there - both the insurance and value proposition of the Plat Charge these days.

The card that offers covid insurance will be the most popular in the history of cards.

Wasn’t all this discussed like 12mths ago and is not a pandemic excluded under basically all travel insurance policies?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Yes it was, that was no surprise as you couldn't travel anyway!
My point is that now travel is recommencing, so should the insurance policy

I wouldn't expect to see too many travel insurance products (whether it be personal, corporate, or card based policies) broadly providing coverage for Covid.

I would expect there to be an increase in insurers/underwriters who will provide medical costs related to Covid whilst O/S in the new year, but I don't think it's likely they be providing all the trimmings (ie cancellation, additional costs etc) as a result of Covid.

one of the recent AFF podcasts, @madrooster mentioned some companies are offering covid related cover but the offerings seem to differ quite a bit

I'm having the same issue at the moment.
Travel ban has lifted and I have booked a trip to Europe to see Family and Friends.
After calling Amex today, their Travel Insurance isn't covering Covid related medical expenses during the trip.
It is a bit disappointing, as I do not want to have to fork out a massive medical bill, because I'm pretty sure if there is the slightest mention of Covid 19 on any medical statement, they will deny the claim.
Just for the record, I'm talking about the insurance included in Qantas Amex Premium Card.

You guys aware of any insurance which covers Covid related medical expenses? This is the bit I want to be insured for.

Cheers
