Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

That was one of the alternatives I'd come up with but had discounted it as 'too high' to make sense. In short, all other things being equal (and they aren't) it's either:
  • $94,666 minimum spend to at least cover the extra annual fee in points earn;
  • $946,664 for the extra earn of 0.125 to generate the extra points required to get to parity with the 'do nothing' position.
Thanks for the additional insight. I'll now wait to hear back from Amex re waiver in January then make a final decision.

Happy to hear about Centurion Event Invites/Experiences in the meantime :)

It's definitely the higher number if you assume all benefits are worth $0.
The lower number would be comparing it to paying cash. Which would never happen, I assume.
Using the same logic I've decided to ditch all Amex and just add them to the churn cycle as I can earn more through churning than the differential in annual fees (I find the the travel credits annoying at best).
