Also received the email with reduced spend requirement of $250. I was thinking typo as the offers on Amex website still mention $350. Still going to purchase vouchers for original amount as I need flights anyway.

My $50 was in the credit card very quickly. An email immediately after the spend as well.

Didn't get the email, but did get the credit by the next day after it settled.

How long does it typically take for the credit to appear for purchasing a gift voucher? Been waiting a few days after buying a $350 voucher...

And there it is:

You recently received an email from American Express entitled 'Don't forget your Qantas online offer'. This email incorrectly stated that you had to spend $250 on qualifying purchases at qantas.com to get a $50 credit. It should have stated that you had to spend $350 on qualifying purchases to receive the $50 credit. We apologise for any confusion this may have caused. Simply use your registered American Express® Card and make the qualifying purchase at qantas.com of $350 by 4 October 2015 to get a $50 credit.

On my ANZ Amex it did take a few days for the transactions to appear, but the credit eventually posted the day after the purchase transaction.

Correction email received. Spend $350.

Just got off the phone to Amex.

Got email # 1 (@ $250) a couple of days ago. Actually checked email as I booked QF flights this morning (total: $339). Could have booked a 15min later flight for extra $30. Didn't as i'd reached the $250 anyway.

Email arrives ~ 2hr after doing the booking. Need $350.

Called Amex Plat line (I am Plat Edge FWIW). Explained steps and acted on the $250 and it would now cost me > $50 to change booking with QF. Amex agent happily credited the account @ $50 manually.

Thumbs up to Amex - well handled.

Wondering if i could use qantas flight voucher towards hotel booking via qantas web site?

Bought a one way redemption ticket from SIN to MEL. Waited over a week for the credit. Called Amex and they advised that the T&C's dictate that the purchase needs to be on the Australian websites, QF redirected me to the SIN website when I made the purchase.

However, they offered me a $35 goodwill credit. Whilst not the full amount, I have been very impressed with the way in which Amex have dealt with the issue and other issues that I have had.

Hmm ... did purchases for three cards on Sunday evening.

These have now shown up online with a transaction date of Oct 5th.

I do have confirmation emails from Qantas showing 4th October ...

Hmmm ...
Statement credit is normally issued within 5 business days of the eligible spend, but may take up to 8 weeks to appear in your account

With my DJ's Amex card I received an offer to spend $1500 by Oct 31 , and receive a $200 credit.

Hmm if only the earn rate was a bit better than 0.75 QFF points per $ on this card for all other transactions which QF falls under.

Still worthy of taking up :)

Forget the points. Take the money every time.

Did anyone get a credit on a Westpac card? I booked multiple flights well over the threshold (an order of magnitude, almost) and didn't get any credit nor email from Amex thanking me for spending - yet I got the "card registered" email and a reminder to spend before the offer ran out email with x-nnnn card number in it.

Can I call Amex for that? Card is Westpac Altitude black, flights booked with qantas.com.au

I registered my Westpac Earth Black card, bought a Qantas voucher and got the credit a few days after the purchase transaction processed. I didn't get an email about the spend, but it took several days for the transaction to process to the card. Only did it last week.
