Annual fee and points posted this morning! Do I have to keep it the whole year or if I cancel after 6 months do I get a partial refund? Either way it was $47 for 20k so I am happy, better than spending $6666 in a supermarket!

Don't forget to claim your life insurance as a tax deduction. Reduces total cost of rewards points per your marginal tax rate.

Funny value, are you sure?

Life insurance premiums would only be tax deductible if taken out within a Super fund.

Life insurance is not tax deductible, well there are specific cases where it is, but this is not one of them.

Applied on the 29th for a second policy on my second Amex - annual fee and 20k points posted on the 1st. Can't complain!

Tomorrow is my one month since signing up so hopefully the 1st payment is taken tomorrow..

Is this an offer they've done before?? Was a good deal and I just missed out due to not receiving my cards in time.

Have seen ANZ offer 10k bonus points at present, but it's a little more expensive and for half the points!

Thanks - didn't know about the ANZ offer but just took that up - $9.40 per month x6 for 10k points. Given 8k points well get me a flight worth a minimum of $149 thats a good deal too (though as you say not as good as the Amex one!)

Has anyone signed up, received points, and cancelled the policy here? I've completed the first two and can't remember if, in order to retain the 20,000 point bonus, you need to hold the policy for a specified time.
