Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

I was trying to transfer my points to SQ just now. Got this error message : (I was using Firefox)

"We regret that we are unable to process your request at this time. Please try to redeem your points at another time or call the number on the back of your card for Customer Service. Ref -1010"

Anyone experiencing the same problem ?

And, i have some pending transactions from 11th of April.
When do you think the transactions will clear ?

I just tried using Firefox, and I got to the final confirmation:

"Are you sure you want to complete the transfer of your Membership Rewards points to Singapore KrisFlyer?
Please note that points transfers are final and transferred points cannot be returned.
Please confirm your points transfer transaction:"

I am only getting transactions up to 9/4 which was 3 days ago, in "My Points history", so I don't think those transactions you made on 11/4 would make it by Sunday.

I managed to transfer all my AMEX MR points to Krisflyer at 715am this morning, and the pending transactions did clear as well. So all is good ! Though it is sad to see a big fat ZERO in the points tally.
 
AMEX website is cactus today. I don't need to do any transfers, I sorted out my deval plan some time ago, I just want to view my transactions but I'm getting nowhere. Best log out and let the last desperate few get their MR points out I think, good luck to all.

First time that the wife and I have had 2 million sitting in Krisflyer. Previous high was after the only time that I have been eligible fora KF Transfer Bonus when I moved 1.5 million across and gained an extra 10% on top.
 
I did the final transfer this morning. I now have 1 point left. LOL

A few nights a ago I swept the bulk of my MR balance to Krisflyer and encounter an issue... Just say please try again later. So I talked to someone via online chat and she moved it for me. Try that if you have issues.

Am I reading correctly, ie there’s one day left to transfer tomorrow?
 
Just moved a bunch of AMEX points to Etihad Guest. The miles hard expire in 12 months rather than the expected 24 months. Aaargh...Thought about moving the remainder to Krisflyer then I realised the minimum amex points to transfer to Krisflyer is 5000, rather than 1000 for Etihad Guest.

Given their financial problems and continual cost cutting , I'I'bde concerned about their existance in the short term

Depends on the merchant and if they want to process the transactions. Hard to say really, I've got some transactions pending too that I'd love to see approved and points post.
 
If they didn’t clear on Sat, don’t expect them to clear on Sunday.
Yeah, looks like it post-midnight. A shame as there's about 3k pending, and 6k in recent transactions that have cleared, with points ready to transfer.

I didn't realise it was down to the merchant to clear the payment, that's interesting to hear. Out of interest, can anyone link me to some info on how it all works from the merchant end?

From my limited understanding of the system, the merchant is meant to take the "Merchant Copy" of the EFTPOS slips that the terminals spit out, and "reconcile" this with the electronic transaction at the end of the day/week/etc. This is to confirm the transaction did take place, at the stated time, for the stated amount, etc.
I've had transactions post at the end of the same day for some merchants, and after an entire week for others.
Therefore it must be down at the merchant level where the timeframe of transaction posting is controlled.
