Amex D-Day Approaching (14/4/19)!

Before everyone rushes to cancel their AMEX card.. has anyone else received double travel credits? Screen Shot 2019-04-11 at 9.45.35 pm.png

yes, I had to rub my eyes twice,

so rather than call up and ask what was going on, I just booked hotels ASAP! thanks amex!

wow, a colleague just told me about rental rewards and the surcharge for amex is 1.76%. If you earn 2 points per $ then its only $.88 per point. Too bad its all ending and I don't rent.

Yes saw it but did not know it was from the online travel page. Mine looks like this:

When I select the edge account I get another login (!!) and eventually a drop down thing when I hover the mouse over the $200 credit description that shows the expiry date.

Nothing looks like foggy's screenshot.

Here is mine again with more info. Could be because I have the plat charge too? All my travel credits show up when im in my plat charge accountScreen Shot 2019-04-12 at 12.41.46 pm.png

That's different from how our log in behave. I could see everything before I even get to the booking page.

Regardless, you haven't missed out, you are still part of the majority :D

thats what I get too, but I think its to do with having the plat charge card, as I dont have any of the premium cards
 
Out of interest, has anyone with 7-figure balances and who have been refused doubling, tried moving out some of their points then asking again. It just occurs to me that there could be a policy/algorithm that incorporates the one-off cost of the doubling

Well if so. Did not help me. I moved out a million at Xmas and then another big chunk this week
