Hhaha! Long time lurker - this is a very helpful forum for many things but I've been the one learning and everytime I think I have an extra tip someone else is already onto it!!!Welcome @SPM - You must take a record for the longest member without posting a single post
Sorry I don't have a DP on that - am curious as well
Joined in Jan. Asked but didnt get joining fee waived off. Having said that the savings so far on some of the perks I am getting have made it pretty worthwhile.Has anyone managed to waive the joining fee recently? If you have, what is the best way to request this?
I see this was possible in earlier occassions but they do not seem to be doing this recently?
Any idea of the perks?Joined in Jan. Asked but didnt get joining fee waived off. Having said that the savings so far on some of the perks I am getting have made it pretty worthwhile.
I think they were posted here before but the main one for me is the RM. I travel 3-6 months of the year and they just do everything for me. I still book some things by myself but they are particularly good with local help and the Centurion FHR program gives you guarenteed upgrades at time of booking.Any idea of the perks?
Anyone know if the RM for Centurion MUST book via Amex Travel? Or if I provide them with travel authority as a Platinum One QF member they can do it through there (for DSC periods etc).I think they were posted here before but the main one for me is the RM. Guaranteed only for some hotel chains. They can't always get me into the top restaurants.I think they were posted here before but the main one for me is the RM. Agreed, and I also travel pretty much permanently Monday - Friday. I get my RM to book me a basic room at one of the Centurion FHR hotels in the city I'm visiting (various - China, HK, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, etc). I typically get a good upgrade confirmed immediately plus the chance of a further upgrade at check-in (i.e. I stayed last week at the St Regis in Shanghai, booked a basic room for the cheapest rate and was upgraded to a very nice suite). They also seem to have no issue appending my Bonvoy / Hilton number to the bookings to maintain my status with those programs. Further, I typically get a US$300 credit at those hotels for a 2+ night stay which offsets some meal / spa costs during these stays. US$300 x around 40-50 stays a year goes some way to offsetting the annual fee.I think they were posted here before but the main one for me is the RM.
