Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks for the answers, would you say the card is worth the price.

I wasn't sure about it before but I would have to say yes. The biggest thing for me is that both the Primary and Secondary get the status, ie. Both of us get Hilton Diamond. With 4 kids, it means we can book one under SWMBO's name and one under my name and get 4 breakfasts and only have to cover the two youngest (which is big dollars for us). Also chances of upgrades on both rooms. This means we don't have to play the maximise status game and can just choose a better place. Things like the improved FHR with confirmed upgrades (only briefly looked at it).

Getting the Edge as the companion card is a huge plus and 750k points + the edges limit is awesome.

We are very much focused on the family wide benefits but I can see far more benefit for people who weren't dragging the kids around with them.

actually you may not have to make two separate booking with Hilton, if you are diamond, I recently booked 4 rooms under my name @ millennium hilton bangkok, all rooms were upgraded, all 8 guests received executive lounge access (by the virtue of upgrades), and free buffet breakfast (the rooms I booked did not come with breakfast). YMMV.

This came in today on an email nice news to have, for those of us in the fold and pig trough. lol lol

Hey newbie here. I just got the Centurion offer, I rang and spoke to them about waiver of the upfront joining fee ($5K) after reading here that some were offered that deal.. they told me only 100 offers of this type went out so bad luck for me.. $5K p/a I can live with but the $5K up front for no apparent benefit is very hard to take !

Centurion holders - how much did you spend a month to qualify? And which Amex did you have before the Centurion?

I am currently on the Explorer, doing ~$100k per month (and paying on time). Do you think these amounts will qualify me? How long will it take?

Hi Mr Tupperware, I think this has been covered in the 2015 Centurion thread, but I had an Amex platinum card for 11 months and charged $1.3M before I got an invite. Doesn't hurt to tell your RM you are interested in the centurion too ;) they can put you on a list and if you fit the criteria, they will send you an invitasaurus.

Another benefit ( unpublished ) is subscription to AFR if your into business that's about 375 - 500 dollar saving. Ask your RM.

Yes it's worth getting a centurion. Spend is one factor. Another believe it or not can be professional relations ie like AMA or Similiar. They are then motivated To use a centurion offer card and not lose revenue with the other company branded Amex card.

Thanks Fitz, found it. Looks like you need to have the Plat Charge before you get offered the Centurion? Did anyone skip the Platinum?

Do you HAVE to have a Platinum charge card before you are invited to Centurion? Or will heavy spend on another card potentially trigger an invite?

ahh ok thanks
I'm more of a points hound so the explorer card is working best for me atm

Erroneous. I got the Centurion invite and I only have a Gold Charge card.

+ 1 Been asked a couple of times ... only have the QF Ultimate card.

The last invite was last week - told them I'd be interested if I got it for free.... not holding my breath!

I'm not sure if these benefits have been mentioned yet:

Marriott Gold (Lounge access, free breakfast) by linking SPG Gold:
Link Accounts | Marriott Rewards, SPG & The Ritz-Carlton Rewards

SQ Elite Gold (Star Alliance Gold) by linking Shangri La Diamond plus one eligible flight (e.g. Wellington/Canberra):
Infinite Journeys

Love that SQ match. Will do that in a year or so when I have to start using my Krisflyer points.

Big thanks to the concierge for A reserve tix to Adele in the pre-release. They are turning out to be incredibly handy.

I got some via pre-release with the Plat Charge card concierge which was good as I was traveling when they went on sale

Just wondering if you get the free Edge or Reserve card do the points go into same account and do you still get one bill or are these separated?

Points are pooled, separate bills as one is credit the other is charge.
