Amex billing cycles between different cards

Hi, I have an Explorer with a statement closing date of the ~7th.
I recently picked up an Ultimate, activating it on ~23rd, with the first spend on the 24th.

Does Amex align the billing cycle of all cards held by an individual, or is it likely to align with a cards activation, or is it something else all together....

I have 3 products all with different cycles. Seems to be related to activation

The charge has a lower time between bill and due date. However, refunds and statement credits lower the payment amount with the charge but are carried over to next month with credit products

I have two and they are on the same cycle despite being activated at different times.

I recall selecting it for the Explorer - but don't remember getting asked for the Ultimate

billing cycle is based on account approval data i believe - call amex and ask for them to be aligned, this may involve a change to the card number

I gave them a call and it is the 13th, not sure how this was decided as I didn't even apply until the 16th...

I don't wish to change it atm but good to know I can when I do.

You can just ring-up and change how you see fit, wont be the exact date but they are pretty flexible

I recently rang up to see if I could bring forward my Qantas Ultimate statement date (to be able to use the 110k points bonus). I was advised that it could not be moved forward before the first statement was issued and then it could be changed but would take two billing cycles.
