American Airlines Premium Economy award seats

I noticed today on AA.com that bookings have opened for International Prem Economy - commencing Nov 6 LAX SYD. I emailed AA earlier this month asking whether Prem Ec award seat redemptions would be available hoping this would open up bookings on other carriers QF JL CX. This was their reply:

Thank you for contacting AAdvantage® Customer Service.

At this time, we do not have information that would advise of a new
award level for premium economy class. it is a lovely idea and I will be
sure to submit it has a suggestion for leadership review and
consideration.
