Alternative to TripIt = TripWaffle

Feature request if I may please

Is it possible to have a back button in past trips?

Use case: I'm reviewing/updating all my imports. When I'm in a specific trip in this list, there appears to be no single-click way to get back to the list of past trips.

Current workflow is to click home, navigate to past trips, then scroll down to where you were previously. It would be great to have a one-click solution.

Okey you've now got a top-left back button when navigating from past trips.

Another approach could be on desktop: ctrl+click (⌘+click) each card to open it in a new tab.

I can't see mention of this, so: is there a way to get Tripwaffle to add in directions from Google Maps? E.g. if I look up how to get from [somewhere in Melbourne] to MEL, choose my timing+route, export somehow to Tripwaffle.

Even better, be able to take the output from transport authorities' own planners and work magic.

Closest I can offer at this stage is to suggest copying the link for your route from Google Maps and save it as a Note in Tripwaffle.

Also, if you tap the little driving time pills between events ("Drive: 10m") it will launch maps with the route prepopulated.

Thanks for the back button and for teaching me Ctrl+click... that's going to be useful in many ways 🙏

Can I try my luck with another request?

Is a global search field possible?

Use case: Searching for specific properties, activities or events when you don't know exactly which trip they were in?

At the bottom of dashboard look for the search button, give it a crack and let me know if it comes up short in anyway for you.

While it's true we can't do much about the push notifications disappearing at the OS level, it's a valid point, so I'll schedule a couple of tweaks: tapping through will display the notification within the app too. Plus: for an hour after receiving, you'll be able to see all notifications at the top of your dashboard.
I've just had the opportunity to test this, and it works great! Thanks so much.

Having imported old flights I am trying to import some old associated hotel bookings.
There are a couple of trips it failed to consolidate. To be expected.
However in trying to move bookings between trips I noticed that the move dialogue only shows your 10 (?) most recent trips.
So I can't consolidate them.
I know this is a niche problem and once I am adding trips in real time like a normal person it won't be an issue.

Move button now lists trips closest to the booking's date first, which in theory, should address the issue for you. Thank you.

I had to log out first but I have now used the improved move feature and can confirm it works like a charm.

Also, most of my Accor hotel reservation confirmation emails are in French, and I haven't noticed TripWaffle having any problem with this.
So thank you for that unexpected bonus.

One note: there is obviously a feature intended to show the location of hotels.
However on all of my bookings the word "Unresolved" appears next to the map symbol.
If I view the booking details, the addresses are in there, but there is a warning symbol.
If I hover over the warning symbol the following text appears:

Unable to determine precise location.
Edit event address to narrow down.

This is intended as development feedback: these are past stays so obviously I am not relying on the app to tell me the location of the hotels.

One more suggestion: is there a filter on which destinations make it into the trip titles?
For example: I have had trips PER-CDG with long layovers in KUL or HKG.
The trip titles are typically "Kuala Lumpur & Paris & more (2026)".
However I didn't leave the airport in KUL on either of these.
On the most recent trip, I spent 10 days in total in Paris, two days in Barcelona ad 2 days in Vienna.
On the trip before that, I spent 3 days in Madrid, 4 days in Las Palmas (Gran Canarias) and 7 days in Paris.

Obviously it would be unrealistic to expect the app to pick up all the destinations and include them in the trip title.
The subsequent destinations within a holiday are adequately addressed by "and more".
I am giving these examples only to illustrate why I don't think of either trip as a trip to Kuala Lumpur.

Is it practicable for the app to disregard any stopover of less than say 24 hours when creating trip titles?

EDIT / UPDATE / WOW:
I have now renamed one of the trips and discovered that the app has automatically updated the trip photo to match the new name!
Instead of a photo of the KL skyline including the twin towers, there is now a lovely photo of Pont Alexandre III at night.
This is an amazingly well-thought-out feature. You continue to surprise and impress.

EDIT / UPDATE / WOW #2:
I have now renamed another trip and discovered that the app has not only automatically updated the trip photo to match the new name but also updated the collection of national flags assigned to the trip o the dashboard page!

Ha, glad you're enjoying (and noticing) all the little bells and whistles.

Two changes based on your notes:

- Trip titles no longer count short layovers as a destination
- Past hotel stays now read "Unresolved: past trip": we only look up precise map locations for upcoming bookings (too resource intensive for the volume of past trips imported).

As always, thanks for the feedback.
