I just saw (about an hour ago) what looked to be a 737 on descent into Perth and from where I was standing there were absolutely no markings or livery anywhere to be seen, it was completely white. Can anyone shed some light on this aircraft?

Great, thank you Much less sinister explanation than what immediately springs to mind.

I saw this (or one of these) planes in Sydney, Auckland and Perth this past fortnight! Recognised it as an A340 which is not that common here in my experience. I initially wondered but then saw it at the regular international gates in SYD so assumed it was something not so secret!

I saw one taking of a few days ago - andwhen I saw it had an NZ coding I presumed it was the team plane for the All Whites! From Flightradar it seemed to be on lease from Air Malta.

I used to see what I assume was the HiFly A340 semi-regularly in SYD a few years ago, always makes a nice change to see it on approach/departure :)

My husband posted a couple of photos from the Boeing factory the other day, among all the branded planes was a couple of all white/no signage ones.

Wonder who tests these, as its usually an airline pilot that does the last set of testing. I guess their own pilots.

Boeing have their own test pilots. Like you mentioned, it’s not until the very last stages that the airline send over their own pilots for final testing.
