ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Agreed slight contradiction,
but if you insert the word modern/widescreen/usable before seatback then I think its only the 9" Panasonics that are getting kept.

Agreed they haven't answered the international question - and I note that there are still three 747s left for retirement in the short term - so the number of international 332s would only increase.
Would hypothesise that the EBM-EBV (ie those with Panasonic 9") are more likely to be used for international.

Per posts previous.
Complete - EBV
In Shop - QPA, EBA
Next Up - EBB
so one example of each sub-type will be flying around shortly

There is a rumour that two of the current international 332's will be removed from the fleet. From that I am thinking that the international birds will have the Q-streaming it would seem.

Heard that one too, in which case it would make sense if Qantas treated the newer 8 'domestic' birds with the Panasonic screens down back as shared international/domestic and the older ones dedicated domestic. In which case what happens to the 2/4 current international ones doesn't really matter.

Suggesting a long-term fleet of 26?? Or meaning all 4 with JQ come back?

Well given the current plan is 28 - 10 333s, 18 332s which do you think

Wait a second, if you add the JQ 330's and the QF 330's, there is a total of 30 are there not?

So wouldn't long term fleet be 28 and not 26?

Already been reported that EBJ/EBK are return to lessee, not back to QF.

Just trying to work out if the other rumour is Chinese whispers changing the message, a change in what is leaving, or an additional reduction

I believe it was reported that 2 were returning, but not the registrations.

All 4 Jetstars comeing back, but two others going, so as others have said 28 in total. Only real question is the rego's. Reading boards some supposed insiders say the two will go are two of the international a/c, other supposed insiders report other regos.

Hello all.

I've just disembarked from what was probably the best east-west coast I've had. It was aboard VH-EBV.

It was simply amazing. The service. The new product. The crew. Everything was spot on.

Keep an eye out for more as I was aboard doing a travel review for Airliner World however here is a sneak peak:

Chris.
Good to see. Are the noise cancelling headphones the same as previous, with a little bit of trim? Or are they a new style, that are actually comfortable?

The headphones were very comfortable and make audio really clear but aren't the fully cancelling type.

QF35 still has the new config on 19/1, and the upgrade fairy is being kind to me. Hopefully it stays this way, although I still have a 100% record of having flights go tech/cancelled/moved every time I've had a successful upgrade request...

You might want to move to QF36 on 23/2...
However, it is more than a month out so things can still change.

No chance unfortunately, I tried shifting both inbound and outbound and the rep told me I'd be up for something like ~$2k in fare difference as my original ticket wouldn't allow an x-MEL journey. Not sure if it'd be any different after I'd flown the first segment but I am already pretty much resigned to the fact I'll get old new layout... Oh well!
