333 VH-QPG out of SIN after repaint.
Flying back to BNE as QF6012 which I suspect means that QPH-QPJ won't be repainted for another 12 months or so.

We may also now see the 332s refurbed two at a time.
 
Was in 4F on EBD on Monday and some lowlife had scratched their initials and some other scratched out stuff on the timber veneer middle divider already, not even 4 months into its refurb service.
 
Can someone get a photo of QPG in her new livery? Its currently operating Syd-Melb then off to Singapore.

Looks like VH-EBR snuck into BNE on 20/6 and has remained there since so a likely refurb candidate, and looks like 332s being refurbed two at a time.

If (and its always a big IF) they continued two-at a time with no other 330 maintenance, all 16 operating 332s would be refurb by early September, and all 18 complete in early October

Am flying QF3 & 4 during September. Anyone know if any work is to be done on the 2 usual birds on this route B4 then

I am flying on the same flight late November and previously I was told that the plane that usually flys this route will be the last to be refurnished.
 
As per post above based on some assumptions things could be very close to complete by then, but it's only guesswork

Logged into Qantas site this morning. Even my early September flights SIN to SYD now have the new business class configuration whereas last week they didn't. They must be on schedule.

Logged into Qantas site this morning. Even my early September flights SIN to SYD now have the new business class configuration whereas last week they didn't. They must be on schedule.
Or they were just shuffling planes around and somebody else lost their refurb.

I'm guessing that only one seat map can be linked to one aircraft, so the seat map would need to stay as the old config until it has gone into the workshop at the very least.
 
Report on YSSY that EBM out tomorrow 1/7 (332 #12) but also that nothing is scheduled to replace it, presumably due to school holidays.

Still possible to meet the early September date for all operating aircraft if no other delays and aircraft done 2 at a time (Further maint on EBD a likely wild card)

Just booked a flight for mid October in J for PER-BNE and this is still showing an old J configuration. I hope this changes in the near future.

More news from YSSY that VH-EBC back in for scheduled maint now and due out mid-July (it had already had 11 days off line in BNE in May) with EBO and EBQ to replace EBC/EBR in mid-July...

So potential timing for the six remaining.

EBQ - mid-July to mid-Aug
EBR - mid-Aug to mid-Sep
EBG/L - mid-Aug to mid-Sep
EBG/L - mid-Sep to mid-Oct

(Again assuming no other maintenance (EBD a possibility) in the meantime)

I'm flying QF589 BNE PER on Saturday 22 October. Expert flyer shows J seating for this flight of 2x2x2, yet when I check the day before and the day after it shows J seating 1x2x1. I'm guessing Qantas is using a different plane on the Saturday (unfortunately for me) and was wondering if this is normal or am I just unlucky. There is plenty of time between now and October. I'd be checking the seatmap much closer to the date.
