Dear W, |
We want to let you know we will no longer offer the Diners Club® Corporate Card from 15 April 2024, and as a result you will no longer be able to spend or earn points on your Diners Club Cards on and from 15 April 2024 and we will be closing your Diners Club Card(s) account ending in 4662. Your account will automatically close on 30 July 2024, unless closed earlier at your request. |
I've had mine since 1982. Bloody NAB - bought Citi and unlike Commonwealth with Bankwest & Westpac with St George, couldn't leave it alone.Still no sign of any change at all for me; no emails, nothing unusual showing on my account page on the DC website. Maybe I have slipped under the radar!
Oops, looks like I spoke too soon: have just received this via e-mail:

I have had this card since 1994, originally via my then-employer. however in the early 2000s they stopped using DC as their company CC, and around 10 years ago I parted company with them. However, tDC continued sending me new cards and I continued using them with no apparent problems.
There were some benefits in using DC:
- lounge access where I don't otherwise qualify
- 1:1 points transfer to QF
- 30 day interest-free payment window
However, it seems that DC is now gone forever in Australia, A bit sad.
Somewhat different transaction types, and given they only bought the Australian business and only have an agreement on the name and systems for three years, they didn't have much choice.I've had mine since 1982. Can't fully remember, but do you not get more if you route them through Virgin?I hate the three year expiry but I think I'm going to send mine to SQ. I'm going to wait until June and do it then to get maximum expiry from them.
Not time scale, actual KrisFlyer milesnah not IME - 3 years and they're gone.
Got another letter from Diners last week reminding me that the card is no longer usable and to redeem my points by 30 July as my account will be closed then and the points will be forefeited....if they bothered to check my balance, they will find it is zero!Got a letter in the post from DC today....maybe, maybe there has been a change in heart from NAB and they will keep DC in Australia...nup, just a reminder to redeem ny Diners rewards by 30July, otherwise they will be forfeited!
