ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

There are plenty of good Accor properties in the UAE.
Strange thing is over the years plenty of properties we have stayed at in the UAE have already been applying the discount
Yes us too. We stayed at the Pullman Jumeirah Lakes Towers in 2024 and got the dining discount - proactively offered. I wouldn’t have asked. I also hear but don’t know personally that the property at Jebel Hafeet recognised it too.

Yes the Mercure Jebel Hafeet was one that proactively offered the discount when we stayed there. Sadly the hotel has left the Accor stable and is now Oryx.

AHhhhh- so I have to give my Explorer Plus to get the discount and then my other ALL GOLD card to enter the points? That seems like it might be too hard for the servers, but will give it a try next trip.

Thank you so much
Well, 3rd time is the charm. This time, I took each transaction off my bank statement, where it clearly stated the hotel name + FB (Food & Beverage) - sent each one individually - and finally received my points. Really - 2 stays - 1 X 6 weeks and 1 X 3 weeks and I had to do each receipt manually or each bank transaction............but I have learnt something - keep every receipt for every transaction -even when you give the right number, no points. And even when you make a Missing Points Claim - it can be a matter of Try, Try, Try Again..........

Do the changes to stay plus only affect new bookings? I booked my stay plus nights months ago but have yet to complete the stays, i dont want to be up for more $ now.

From what I can see, the changes are aligning with what was happening anyway.. I wouldn't think it would change existing bookings.

Is there an easy answer to this question - where should i book accor hotels when not using the stay plus benefit, to maximise qantas point earn?? The accor app, qbr site, or qantas hotels? Currently double points at qantas hotels is on offer too which surely complicated things?

Depends if your chasing status or points or both, given QF hotels bookings dont earn ALL recognition nor do you get the benefits of status as they are non qualifying stays

So I thought the relationship was tighter than it really is and status would be recognised.
Booking through Accor still earns some QF points directly given Explorer means we're all Gold status, and the accumulated ALL points can be transferred across too.

As it happens, the 2 nights in Sydney I was booking was over $900 on QF hotels earning 9QFF/$ currently, but I ended up using a stay plus night and it's only $370! No brainer really. Add in the welcome drink, hopefully a room upgrade, should be great value overall!

Hi all, advise please. I have been paying for Voyager membership for a couple of years. I have just signed up for Explorer and recieved the 30 free status nights etc.
My understanding is i cannot recieve status nights for both memberships so my question is, do I really need to renew my Voyager membership when it comes due.
TIA

Correct, no point. The 20 nights from Voyager won't be credited as there is a maximum of 30 across paid programs. Likewise the 15% discount Voyager provides is now a benefit of explorer and the guaranteed room benefit comes with gold (which is automatically achieved through explorer) so there is zero benefit to renewing the voyager.

QF use Expedia for the majority of their bookings and Accor don’t want to set a precedent when they specifically exclude Expedia bookings from ALL benefits
