ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

Update: followed up with Accor by email. They haven’t replied but the 2,000 points magically appeared. Expiry still at September 30,2026 though

Another data point, I had 10 nights credit as part of the Ibis card in Feb, overnight 20 nights credited for my explorer membership rather than 30, so they are enforcing the 30 night total free nights across memberships. I am ok with that.

Hi all. Trying to find information regarding membership price comparison for different countries but could not find the latest info. Is it still a thing? I.e. Phillip and Malaysia are still cheaper than Australia?

I believe the prices for all countries are about the same now, no big differences. Not sure where I saw the table of prices now though...

You can check this yourself by just changing the country on the website, takes a few seconds……
Eg Indo/Malaysia/Phillipines $229USD

I think I read somewhere (maybe LL), that they’ve set that same USD rate for a lot of locations. So still a little discount but otherwise more standardised than before - short of some wild currency fluctuations.

Is there anything that having both memberships gets you - the features seem to overlap more now? Is it just Ibis discounts worldwide?

I took up the Ibis card as it was perfect for my travel patterns and dropped Accor Plus after 15 years membership, with the changes there will be no point renewing in Feb, so from then Accor plus only.

I can’t see any benefits now with ALL Ibis now over A+ (apart from cost). When it was instant ALL Gold for the life of the membership plus remainder of calendar year it was a good option for the infrequent traveller - especially if staying at Ibis / Ibis Styles (which there are quite few in decent locations).

Was more like hoping I was wrong

I just renewed in Indonesia. $335 vs $349 in Australia. There is some difference due to exchange rate movements since the price unification but not enough to bother shopping around. If my card had a 3% FX fee then that $335 would have become $345.
