ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

If you end up 3 nights short, I would do a mattress run to the cheapest Ibis you can find! That's what I was planning when it looked like I would come up to about 54 nights earlier this year.

Yes, but I pride myself on not chasing status. Plus about half my stays are in Europe where platinum is just a non-event.

so I'd say you are probably going to be OK for 2026 as you would surely have 30 stay nights for the whole of 2025, right?

yes, I have to sheepishly admit that my auto renewal email, paid first August effective end of August mentioned that I would get 10 nights on top of the standard 20 nights of my category. Like @ellen10 's. I really must read that stuff more closely. 🙄

So I'm sweet.

I am still leaning towards burning the stay plus night and canceling/re-subscribing, even with the promised 10 day top up (that I am not convinced of until they put it in the FAQ/T&Cs). Unless there was some sticky benefit associated with remaining subscribed, depending on your sign up date (mine is recent) it is pretty good value to burn the stay plus and only pay for a partial year subscription, and then resubscribe for the 30 days and 2 more stay plus nights.

Until I see anything that precludes it, I am going to go in that direction.

I’ll earn 6168 status points, so about 700 short; pretty close, not counting any additional spend.
Consider a single month membership of Signature then - you will buy 5000 reward points (that you can use to pay for accommodation) and 1000 status points (towards your status target) for your one month membership. Cancel once you have got the points you need. You can cancel at any time. Just be sure to time it well in advance of the end of 2025 so the inevitable Accor stuff ups don't cause you to miss out on the end of calendar year deadline. Again, I acknowledge @sudoer for pointing me towards this earlier in the year. It works for me, and might suit your situation too @RooFlyer

I considered cancelling and resubscribing until I realised I have a booking in mid September on a members rate booked during the recent sale. I can't run the risk of them repricing my booking to today's non-member rates.
