ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

Thanks, I like your thinking.
It's an even better deal for those of us who only got 20 nights at renewal which they will take back on cancellation for pro-rata refund, but then replace with 30 days on sign-up to ALL Accor+

yes, thanks. Currently lying in bed on an SQ flight to Singapore and a stay at the Pullman Hill Street 😊 so a bit limited in resources.

I’ll earn 6168 status points, so about 700 short; pretty close, not counting any additional spend.

Are you coming to AFF in Melbourne later in the year? I owe you a drink.
Not likely to be there, unfortunately - I’ll get to an event, one day!

Not sure if this has been clarified before, but if you purchase Accor Plus this year and receive 20 nights, will the additional 10 nights be credited on October 1st with the upcoming changes?

All evidence I could find points to No. See my reply above however about another potential route

I thought they said something to me about getting 30 nights when I signed up last week again?.. but I can only see 20 in my status at the moment

Dude - please have a Mariachi Margarita at El Chido for me. The crew there are epic - ended up doing shots with two of them last week.

Also what’s the deal with kids meals not being 30% discounted? It’s like saying the entree isn’t discounted because it’s cheaper and smaller than a main… ?

I’m super annoyed with them also as I was told my renewal the cheapest they can do was $369 and now you can sign up online for $349..

Just to clarify the cliff notes of all this... Everyone in ALL+ will be gold instantly meaning that tier is basically flooded and worthless.
Nothing new. You could effectively buy 2yrs of Gold for €90 via IBIS Business if you bought it in Jan. That hack was around for years.

TBH, I suspect the pool of A+ is a relatively small subset of ALL members globally.

Maybe disproportionately in Oz being an APAC program.

Based on the statistics that have been published there are 450K A+ members. Between them, they stay 3.1 million nights per year, which is between 6 and 7 nights on average.

Lots of Golds, but on average they don't get to platinum!

So I just spoke to the Accor customer service and was advised that old memberships with 20 status nights moving across to the new Explorer card will be given an extra 10 status night on the change. resulting in a total of 30 nights that is given to all new members.
