AS have new offer up to 40% extra miles for free, they have some excellent partners. I have used them many times to from HKG on CX and to the USA.

CX BNE/HKG return 60K in J
OZ city to OZ city in J 20K one way or $40K return

Can buy as many miles as you like! unlike OZ airlines.

Cant book CX online need to find flight date & sectors 1st then call.

AU(J)-HKG(F)-US for 80k is pretty good. If only they flew an F product in/from Australia .

I'm a fan of AS.
Wonder how the merger with Virgin America will impact their program going forward though

Trying to access your favourite Australian websites when overseas only to discover they have been geo-blocked? Concerned about your internet privacy especially when using unsecured wifi? NordVPN will solve both these common problems.

i'm more concerned with how it will affect the VIrgin America program. It has excellent mileage redemption deals. au-lax-au for $3k in biz year round using vx miles.

I'm looking at using some of my AS miles for KIX - BKK.

Can't work out if that would be just 22500 o/w in J??

Does AS not have the same CX availability as that shown on the QF/BA websites? I just got off the phone to an alaska rep, who said they couldn't see anything from MEL - HKG.

I used JAL primarily to find seats and double checked with BA+Qantas. They saw the same availability as I saw with JAL which was 2F and at least 4J.

Correct. AS does NOT have the same access to CX inventory as Oneworld partners do, however in most cases it can appear identical.

I'm looking to use up some alaskan miles i bought awhile back

thinking to fly CX from KIX <HKG> BKK. I'm assuming that would be 22,500 one way?

From BKK to SYD would be 30,000 one way?
