100%. I did watch the 60 Minutes interview and when he said his "goal" had always been to be a CEO by the time he was 40, I was like, "Ah; yes."
 
Perhaps releasing a book with a big smiling photo of one self on the front with a quote from a board member claiming xx is the best CEO ever (or whatever nonsense it said) wasn’t the best of ideas?

I actually didn’t zoom in and read those quotes on the front, but seriously, who on earth would publish something like this. He would be better off not having a photo of himself and perhaps not having a board members glowing opinion of how good he is on the front. Talk about self serving.
 
And with the dumpster fire comes baggage that prospective employers simply would rather not get involved with.

And no doubt he will want to price his services at a premium. Would be chasing another hundred million for another decade of service.
 
Not sure that plan was for the book for ever be a huge hit, I think it was more him coming out of the woods reminding everyone he still exists, how he supposedly saved the place, and how good he is (see the quote on the front). All about driving the dialogue etc. Come hire me!

I’m. It sure theees anything ‘new’ that Joe didn’t discuss already? And the problem was that Joe’s book didn’t leave much wriggle room.

The 60 Minutes interview revealed nothing new… which would have been handy to hook interest in the memoir. Without that…

That’s not usually how it works in my experience. The print run is determined way before any pre-orders are taken. Print run is a large determinant of price not the other way round.
