Yes, but it’s all part of the ecosystem.

Airports claimed ‘no staff’ because everyone had gone and found jobs elsewhere during covid.

If the airports had offered a $10000 sign-on bonus for returning staff provided they stayed for 6 months or whatever, I’m sure they would have got the staff.

And passengers pay for security, so the massive increase in pax numbers would have paid for sign-on bonuses.

Understand that, but the comment was in reference to AJ being blamed for slow immigration. He might be responsible for a lot of things that shouldn't have happened. but that wasn't one of them.

I hadn’t heard that before! Agree if anyone was blaming him for immigration that would be out of order.
