Perhaps releasing a book with a big smiling photo of one self on the front with a quote from a board member claiming xx is the best CEO ever (or whatever nonsense it said) wasn’t the best of ideas?

I actually didn’t zoom in and read those quotes on the front, but seriously, who on earth would publish something like this. He would be better off not having a photo of himself and perhaps not having a board members glowing opinion of how good he is on the front. Talk about self serving.

Writing a book can also be problematic because a book deal with a publisher means the author has to do some book promotion.

Up till now , the book promotions including interviews has been a dumpster fire.

And with the dumpster fire comes baggage that prospective employers simply would rather not get involved with.

And no doubt he will want to price his services at a premium. Would be chasing another hundred million for another decade of service.
