Alan Joyce writing a memoir

Oh, another classic line from Mullen. When asked if he gets people coming up asking for upgrades or Chairman's Lounge.. Almost a roll of eyes, and paraphrasing" All the time; its embarrassing. People of means feel free to ask that sort of thing.

So what’s the overall agenda here?

Is he putting himself out there for a new job? It’s been a few years now and he hasn’t appeared elsewhere. I get a feeling many boards are just too nervous getting him involved in any business. Not everyone wants executives in the press every week, and facing senate hearings.

I see the IATA job vacated by Willie Walsh (went to Indigo) has now been filled. The other big job on the market at the moment is the Air India job.

Just trying to justify his illegal actions and blame others I expect. Never saw him or other senior management offering to forgo bonuses to save the company.

He's trying to rewrite the story about his legacy.
Or at least write his side of the story.

Apparently he glosses over some of the decision making process.
