I've never been but the Basel Lounge has 360 (or at least 180) views both inside and out.. Appreciate the cathedral like dome. One for the todo list.

CDG Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport - The Emirates Lounge T1 - actually a very nice lounge and a cool rooftop terrace to have a beer and watch the planes coming in and out, also big enough that you can hide from the smokers and vapers !​

Learn something every day. I’ve been to the CDG EK lounge and never knew they had that area there. Is it a recent addition?

July 2023 i was there jase05, as always with Emirates, impeccable service and a spotless lounge with all sorts of generous food offerings and drinks!

Ambassador Transit Lounge at Singapore T2. It's terrace is alongside the airport's sunflower garden, which is what makes it special. Breakfast was better than in whichever airline lounge I then went to.

This was actually quite a good lounge for a tiny airport (don't set your expectations too high). Lots of light, the outdoor deck with good views of the runway. However in December when its negative outside it was less appealing.

When VA were in bed with Delta I really enjoyed their outdoor sky lounge at JFK.

MCY has an outdoor area off the departure area. No photos because, in keeping with the theme of the airport, it sucks.

Sala VIP lounge at LPA ( Las Palmas, Gran Canaria). Two the same. All the airport traffic right in front.

Officially ‘smoking terraces’ there is plenty of room and usually a good breeze to keep odious to avgas.

Sala VIP Internacional lounge at UIO (Quito) - accessible with PP.

Super nice lounge, probably has a nose in front of an AA flagship. I’m surprised they take PP (though considering you don’t get access flying AA J, perhaps they have to).

It’s just before sunrise but the terrace is open, they have gas heaters and and outside bar (not open at the moment obviously). No airside view but good to have fresh air.

The terrace in the UA lounge at LAX is excellent - made good use of it a few weeks ago during a 17hr layover (due to cancelled AC flight to YUL and rebooking to UA). You can't quite see in the photos but there is a bench running the length of the lounge windows which was great for a nap...lounge staff received a number of concerned comments from travellers about the 'sleeping vagrant' but just replied with "Don't worry, he's Australian..."

SJJ has a small outside terrace which looked like it would have been pleasant, but was unfortunately not open when I passed through in Sept last year.



This was in the one generic ‘Business Lounge’ at the airport. To the right of my image there was a patio section with some high tables and chairs you may find in a bar.

This image (not mine - from Alex G in a Google review) shows the patio, but not as hospitable during winter time.
