Well, as I kind of expected, it was the underpant-wedgy Mk1. These things are getting pretty old now. Small screens (I can't remember if they are any bigger on the A380). My tray table was on a definite downward slope, kind of matches the bed....
At least when CX do an aircraft substitution, I still end up with a flat bed, aisle access and a large screen.....
Off topic, I am not a real fan of the new menu. The food that I ate was actually very good, but there was only one starter and one main on that menu that I would have eaten (glad they hadn't run out). I am not that fussy an eater, and usually there are at least 2 mains on any airline menu that I would be happy with. Dessert wasn't spectacular - either a tiny tub of icecream or cheese.
And I haven't not have flown QF J for a while, so this may have changed a long time ago, but what I really liked about the QF breakfast was that you could choose your individual hot breakfast items. Now there isn't a choice - its just one hot dish of scrambled eggs, bacon & mushroom. You can still choose the individual cold breakfast items.
