Hi there

Have an upcoming business trip to NC/Fiji.

Just wanted to triple check, if I fly AirCalin on a QF codeshare I still don't earn QFF points correct?

If so I'll just jump on the QF services...

Thanks!

I thought that if you booked on a QF flight number ( other than on a JQ discount fare ) that you would earn SCs

Dave

I believe Dave Noble is correct - QF Flight number on an eligible flight [except for JQ metal not in YBHK] = points and SC's with QFF.

Just phoned QFF to be sure and they did have to look it up.

Yep, get points and SC's if it is a QF sold flight.

Thanks - you were both right!

Cheers

EDIT: Don't suppose anyone has flown AirCalin before? I'm looking to catch the A330 service in J class, trying to avoid the A320 but may not be possible....!

My wife and I flew with them SYD-NOUMEA return on points a few years ago - it was on a 737 - as cramped as QF Domestic, but overall a very pleasant flight with friendly staff. If my memory serves me correctly QC members had access to the (small) Air France lounge on the return flight - enough to drink, but minimal food was available.
Enjoy...!

Thanks Mbeder, i don't think they fly 737's anymore, beleive they are all A320 / A330. I am on their A320 flights anyway in J class...

Cheers

Booked through QF to fly SYD-NOU in 2004. Ex SYD we flew J in Air Calin on a QF codeshare flight767. The flight, meals and drinks were OK although we left 6 hours late due to a firefighters strike at Tontouta so we arrived at 0130 - very tired. Return trip was on QF 767 and the service was great. Points and SCs for both legs. I suppose the difference here is that it was a QF booking. but the SYD-NOU flight did have a QF flight number as well as a SB number. The Hibiscus Lounge at Tontouta that mbeder mentions is small and trop chaud.
