Airbus A350-800 Order Book Down To 28 Aircraft

Following Hawaiian Airlines’ decision to switch from the Airbus A350-800 to the A330-800neo, Airbus now has only 28 firm orders left for the smallest version of the A350 family.

Airbus has been trying to convince its customers to convert orders to the larger A350-900 or the A330neo, which was launched at last week’s Farnborough air show. Hawaiian was considered to be one of the customers most difficult to convince of the move because of the airline’s long-range requirements. Its decision is a major breakthrough for Airbus.

That now leaves 3 airlines plus a leasing company. Aeroflot and Asiana both already operate the A330 and have A350-900 on order so it shouldn't be too difficult to get them to switch.

Just a question of whether they switch to the 330neo or 359

I guess with order book of 26, you make them and then the line is shut anyway. Could make a couple of spec. If the customers aren't buying time to change.
