Hi all,

Over the last few years I've had good availability and success with using Optiontown to upgrade my AirAsiaX flights (predominately PER-KUL). However recently I've noticed that their upgrade option doesn't show up any results for any of my upcoming flights. A message to Optiontown only came back with 'your itinerary is ineligible' and no further explanation.

Anyone else having issues with this?

Not seen it recently. Available for a kul-ool flight in a few months but generally found d7 to be getting busier

Think this is the latest thread on AirAsiaX Optiontown, and boy things have changed.... back in the days when Premium seats were $100-150 and they gave you empty seat for a few $s.

Put in for an overnight KUL-SYD...

Admittedly a relatively busy flight I suspect (and only 1 Premium seat left that is running A$1100+)
Premium Seat Option - From $450
Empty Row Option - $59
Empty Seat Option $45
Couldn't justify the PSO given my ticket was under half that, but took empty row.

Can't you buy a Premium Flatbed upgrade on board (assuming there are free seats) for $399?

The upgrade prices do vary based on loads. I'm guessing your problem was that the flight (or at least the pointy end) was full.
