Does anyone have any idea when the Malaysian govt will grant permission for AirAsia to fly KL - Syd direct?

Well Air Asia are still claiming that they are ready to operate flights on the route from July 1st so I guess it doesn't really matter when the approval comes through so long as it's before that date, they have the agreements in place with Sydney Airport to operate the flights and it shouldn't be too hard to load the flights into the booking engine when they are approved so I suppose it's just a matter of playing the waiting game.
Air Asia still awaiting OK for Sydney-KL
Cheers

Thanks for the response. I know AirAsia have a been ready for some time but each time they get ready to announce the launch the Malaysian govt pulls the pin. Clearly they are concerned with the impact on their own airline. Shame really as some competion on the Syd - Kl route would be welcome.
