Just managed to book Perth to Dhaka return for $297 including bags over Easter 2010.

Prolly cost more to get from Adelaide to Perth!

Perth is good for Asian destinations, for LCCs you have Tiger, JQ and AirAsia...

unfortunately for most of the east coast major cities there are much less choices....

Not true. I did see the free seats when it first come on sale. and I still saw it the day after. May be they don't have much, but at least their system doesn't crash/timeout etc when you try to book it .... unlike some jets with stars on it ......
