Anyone flown this mob to Nadi?? Out of Syd, i guess can use FLOUNGE if on QF ticket. any other benefits?

Codeshare flights I believe so no problem with points / SC's.

Service??

Traps??

Seating ??

What cabin?

What aircraft?

C on the 744 is a decent old fashioned recliner seat. In the nose which is a nice touch.

Y seating isn't great.....the upper deck is reportedly the place to be.... Given the length of the flight it shouldn't be unbearable!

It's been a few years since I flew them last, but i found the service to be really good. I was flying in J and they kept topping my port up for me after dinner and were very friendly.

Book your ticket on the FJ flight as opposed to a QF codeshare. Although the earning look ambigious, I believe you'll earn SC's as full economy.

Flew with them in September this year. from Apia to Nadi J class on a 738 not sure which one, Seat 2A had no seat stuffing and AVOD was not turned on for the flight no explaination even after enquiring not much recline.

Then went Nadi to Melbourne J class on their vintage 763, again centre table between 1A,1B loose and a little unstable, seat very comfortable and 1B recline was a little broken which resulted in excellent recline. Though front row had a little less foot space due to bulkhead, there is no overhead ventilation and the portable players are hit and miss regarding functionality, and volume does not go high enough to hear the programming comfortably completely useless bring your own entertainment!

Nadi club lounge supposed to open 3 hours prior to departure, opened 1 hour late with quite a few people sitting around and when it did open there was no catering for another 30 minutes.

Service was friendly, food was good, spirit choice good, wine limited but served wyndhan estate 555 a favourite quaffer of mine.

So if you get a "Biz Saver" fare, go for it, cheapish status credits 200 return melbourne for about $1250.

Next time i'm going to try going via Sydney on their 744 maybe that will be better.

Hope that helps.

Flew BNE NAN on FJ in Jan Y class. Bulkhead row seemed pretty good till we noticed we were surrounded by toilets, two in front of us, two adjacent. Check the seat map carefully!!

As far as the flight went, the service was right up there with PX  but the plane wasn't quite up there. Seats had lots wrong with them.

The bonus was flying NAN to PTF on a very cheap FJ ticket. 10 mins for 10 SCs - a SC a minute!!

Cheers skip

There is/was (a week ago anyway) a sale on with Qantas' friends at Air Pacific.

$499 pp includes return flights and 4 nights accomodation.

Add $17pp and there's breakfast and dinner iirc.

(Someone must be determined to snare budget people like me off our friends at Vaustralia).
