In the last week, this flight has been more than 15 minutes late arriving in AKL every day, and some days, as Silvia suggests, far worse.

I only looked at a sample of three days: delay looks to be in MEL between an on time NZ123 arrival and a tardy taking off NZ124.

It's at an off peak time of the day (c.1230 hours) so I wonder why?

And also interesting as this is a key flight as Melbourne passengers would use this to connect through the evening US bound and South American flights. I had a client on the Sunday flight. She luckily made it to her final destination but had a stressful time.

NZ842 SYD-WLG departed until 20 48. Arrival is predicted to 1 36, 106 behind. (ZK-OJB)

Tuesday 4th of dec sees ZK-OKR struggling. Firstly NZ123 AKL-MEL 8 50 service did not depart until 13 59, 309 late. Landed until 15 36, 281 min very behind. This has caused another delay on NZ124 MEL-AKL12 10 service, which has been frequently delayed over the last week. It recently took off at 17 17, arrival is expected until 22 27, 282 behind schedule.,

Also, ZK-OKE has been behind the last 2 trans tasman legs. NZ105 AKL-SYD 16 05 service left until 17 16, arriving until 18 30, 50 tardy. Ths had a flow effect on NZ108 SYD-AKL 18 55 service which did not take off until 20 10, arrival is predicted at 00 46, 47 behind.

NZ930 OOL- AKL 10 05 service was cancelled.
NZ136 BNE-AKL 11 15 service was cancelled.
NZ104 SYD-AKL 11 50 service also cancelled.

NZ842 SYD-WLG 18 35 service diverted back to SYD shortly after take off (ZK-OJM). This has consequently cancelled WLG-SYD 6 35 service for tomorrow.

Is it me, or Air NZ are not having the best week trans tasman speaking?

Wed 5th of Dec sees NZ898 MEL-CHC 9 15 service (ZK-OJA) depart until 10 20, arrival is suggested at 15 29 (49 behind). This may delay the scheduled NZ805 CHC-BNE 15 45 service.
 
Friday 7th of Dec sees NZ102 SYD-AKL 9 50 service take off until 11 26. It landed at 16 16, 81 tardy. (ZK-OKC)

NZ938 OOL-AKL 10 55 service was cancelled.
 
NZ175 (B772 ZK-OKA) AKL-PER was 147 minutes late departing and is expected to arrive now at 1546 (161 minutes late)
 
Sunday 9th of Dec sees the usual suspect, NZ124 MEL-AKL 12 10 service (ZK-OKP) depart until 13 23, arrival is suggested at 18 35, 50 min behind schedule.
 
Continuing today, NZ938 OOL-AKL 10 55 service did not depart until 12 10 (ZK-NNA), landed at 17 59, 54 behind. This impacted NZ729 AKL-MEL 18 40 service, which did not take off until 20 06, arrival is suggested around 21 48, 63 tardy.
 
Monday 10th of December sees NZ102 SYD-AKL 9 50 service (ZK-OKE) depart until 10 54, arrival is revised to 15 33, 38 tardy.
NZ722 MEL-AKL 8 50 flight (ZK-NNA) took off until 10 18, arrival is suggested to 15 41, 76 behind schedule. This has affected the return leg NZ725 AKL-MEL 15 25, which departed until 17 37, arrival is predicted to 19 18, 108 late.

On Wednesday 12 December 2018, NZ846, the midmorning 0920 hours SYD - WLG is badly late. A320 ZK-OJH was taxiing as at 1154, so will be at least two hours late into the Windy City. This aircraft had run a CHC - SYD flight so it may have been swapped onto the WLG one.
 
On Thurs 13th of Dec, NZ891 CHC-MEL, the 8 10 service (ZK-OJE) departed at 10 32. It is expected to arrive at 11 52, 107 tardy. This is expected to impact NZ720 MEL-AKL 11 05 service.

Friday 14th of Dec sees ZK-ZNK (789) NZ109 AKL-SYD arrive until 15 26, 51 min tardy. This then formed as NZ112, SYD-AKL, which had an increased delayed as it took off until 18 02, arrival is predicted at 22 40, 105 min behind schedule.

Also, ZK-NNB (A321N) NZ729 AKL-MEL, it is expected to arrive at 22 02, 77 min late.

To add to the list, ZK-OJB (A320) NZ711 AKL-SYD, has now a revised arrival of 22 01, 46 min tardy.

ZK-OKH NZ108 SYD-AKL (772) has a tentative arrival of 12 56, 57 min behind.

ZK-OKA NZ177 AKL-PER (772) is expected to arrive to Perth around 12 52, 162 min late.

ZK-OJM (A320) NZ733 AKL-BNE has a revised arrival of 10 53, 153 min behind original schedule.

Finally, ZK-NNA (A321N) NZ739 AKL-BNE also departed behind schedule. It arrived to gate at 17 44, 64 behind. This meant that NZ734 BNE-AKL was airborne until 19 34, which a predicted arrival at 1 26, 87 min tardy.

Sat 15th of Dec has (ZK-NNB) NZ722 MEL-AKL, the 8 50 hours service depart at 13 03, it arrived at 18 47, 262 min behind.

(ZK-NNA) NZ705 AKL-SYD is predicted to arrive at 19 20, 100 min tardy.
 
On Tuesday 18 December 2018, NZ6069 (that may be a Christmas extra flight with passengers, not a positioning flight), the 0555 hours AKL to MEL (A320 ZK-OJE) tyook off at 0702. Arrival should be at 0846, 41 minutes tardy.
 
On Thursday 20 December 2018, NZ175 from AKL across to PER (B772ER ZK-OKI) should arrive at 1427 mid afternoon, 82 late. NZ176 is not scheduled to depart until 1855 so in theory it should be punctual.

The AKL to MEL NZ725 has A321 ZK-NNB and should arrive at 1912, 102 late.

With Sydney's wild weather, it has caused a few delays and diversions

NZ849 WLG-SYD (A320 ZK-OJM) diverted to BNE. This has resulted in NZ842 SYD-WLG 18 35 hours service being cancelled. The aircraft seems that is still in BNE.

NZ883 CHC-SYD (A320 ZK-OJE) had better luck and arrived at 18 36, 61 tardy.

NZ105 AKL-SYD (B777 ZK-OKG) arrived to gate at 19 07, 87 behind schedule. The leg back to AKL, NZ108 has now a revised departure of 20 50, with a suggested arrival into AKL of 1 47, 108 late.
 
NZ101 AKL-SYD (B777 ZK-OKD) arrived to gate at 9 07, 32 behind. This delayed the leg back, NZ102 SYD-AKL which was airborne at 11 06, with a revised arrival time of 15 45, 50 min tardy.

NZ722 as Melburnian1 suggested, took off at 10 13, 83 min behind. It has a predicted arrival of 15 36, 71 late.

Similarly, NZ898 MEL-CHC departed late. Arrival is expected around 15 41, 61 behind (ZK-OJB).
 
On Friday 21 December, NZ726 (1845 hours MEL to AKL, A320 ZK-OJH took off at 2018, about 75 minutes late.

Most unusually, it has diverted to SYD via a most roundabout route, arriving at about 2255 hours. It will be hours late into AKL.
 
NZ702 (Saturday 22 December, the 0950 hours midmorning SYD across to AKL, B772ER ZK-OKC) was airborne at 1059 so arrival is 1550, 55 late.
