Has anyone else been experiencing problems getting points credited for Agoda stays recently? In the past the points plus bonus have been posted within a few days. My last two Agoda stays, nothing. One was in early April, and I have entered a missing points claim. It used to work well and was the only reason I used Agoda.

The bookings were made the correct way and my number entered. Is it just me?

Yes, had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. Submitted a missing points claim, waited over a week, got an email saying "We checked with Agoda and you didn't book via the Virgin Agoda link, so bad luck". Unluckily for them I went back through my Chrome history and was able to pull out the list of pages visited and in what order for each booking proving that I did, in fact, book via the Virgin Agoda link, and asked them to look into why Agoda would say I didn't. A few days later they came back and told me as a one-off courtesy they would provide me with the points. They only provided the base and not the bonus points, so I replied and said that I believed I was entitled to the bonus also which they then credited a couple of days later.

I reckon there could be something dodgy going on there. Interestingly I've just found that the confirmation email you get from Agoda will have a line near the top that says "This booking was generated in partnership with Virgin Australia." The bookings Agoda claimed were not via the Virgin link also had this on them, so I guess they are stuffed both ways.

Make sure you're booking with the referrer code at the end of the URL, not just the URL by itself.

For good measure I always go to the Velocity website and then use the link they provide.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I have an open dispute with them over a similar issue. Be careful which link you use to make the booking, if you go to Virgin Australia you'll get prompted for your Velocity number and should get the points. If you go to Virgin Australia you'll see the Velocity branding but you won't get the prompt to enter your number and it will be treated as a non-Velocity booking. Misleading as it still carries the Velocity branding.

Interestingly the link on their own (Velocity's) terms and conditions page (http://www.velocityfrequentflyer.com/content/Info/AccommodationTerms/) points to the invalid link. Reported this a few weeks ago still waiting for a reply and for them to fix it.

Ahhh Agoda, don't get me started. I took to screen-shotting every page of the booking process and emailing it to their customer service line to put them on notice that I expected the points. Had another annoying issue recently: booked seven days in London via the VA link and got the confirmation, then the accom provider pulled the deal for some unknown reason. Agoda put me in a Novotel for six nights (!), anyway I decided to go with it and tried to get them to confirm I would get points. Nope. Because they booked it on my behalf, no points for you. Hard one to argue against but I tried for a while.

Agoda is extremely frustrating. No matter which link I have used I have never been credited the points without having to lodge a retro claim. Like webslave, I too have been denied points saying that it was not booked though Virgin, even though I had emails to the contrary. After 30 days I lodge a retro claim. Another 30 days I follow up with the plat desk - usually by abouth the 3 month mark I get the points but so much time and effort is involved. I also now use the snipping tool to capture everything as the evidence as Agoda / Velocity just can't see to get it right for me. Sigh.

I just got back from a holiday in the Middle East , india , Sri Lanka and everywhere we stayed we had to do a retro claim. 10 different hotels so 10 claims. It's frustrating to say the least. I booked Agoda via velocity and I entered my number at the bottom of my hotel booking. The retro claim all worked and the points came through a week later. Also a bit if topic but my Etihad flights I booked I had to retro claim them as well even tho I had entered ff number when I made the booking. On the last flight I asked the check in lady if my ff number was attached to the booking and she said no, even tho I put it in. I sent a feedback email to virgin about this, saying I had put my ff numbers in all my Etihad flight bookings but have to retro claim all of them and got a stupid response saying "sorry sir, please make sure you enter your ff number correctly when you book with our partner airlines and that will prevent you having to do a retro claim" They treat you like a idiot

Strange thing is that before this year I never had any problem with Agoda, the points and bonus were always credited, and promptly. Have six nights in Capetown coming up and the Agoda points earning influenced my choice of hotel. Starting to wonder if I should cancel the booking if I can find a better deal elsewhere.

frequent issues from late 2013 to mid 2014 for me so that i just dont bother with velocity anymore and will not consider agoda theyre crooks.

The one thing I do not like about Agoda, is that there is no where in any of the emailed receipt, or at any time, does the system mention or state that your VA FF # is in the system.
I prefer and will be using either of the others from now, have made bookings with Agoda, but have not kept track of my bookings if I had typed in my VA FF #, also, sometimes it does not stand out even if you follow the link, where to keep an eye out for the space to fill in your VA FF #.
At least QFs Hooroo in their emailed receipt does show up my QF FF #.
Or with Hotelclub/Hotels, the reward per stay will always be right. Havent had problems with these 2.
Have booked Agoda several times, but am too much of a lazy bum to put in a claim for VA FF points. Out of my 4 or 5 booked stays, pretty sure I had entered my VA FF #, have had 2 with VA FF points appear in my VA FF account.

Points just arrived from an Agoda stay back in November last year that I'd forgotten about. Better late etc.
