So almost 2 months later, where are all the status matches ?

almost 6 months later - can we have an update on how these negotiations are progressing? given the potential corporate dollars available to the airlines/hotels and other partners, surely they must be keen to commercialise our aff membership.

i sent a note to virgin velocity on here and didn't even receive a response...

As I suggested in another thread a long time ago, if you're screen-scraping the status you may as well scrape the validity period as well, and just use cached values if the polling fails for whatever reason.

Would it be such a tragedy if someone was identified as WP for a few days after they'd dropped back to SG anyway? It's just a bit of silly ego boost after all.

(Sometimes the automated scrapping program fails for a whole bunch of reasons beyond our control such as the airline website being down, communication issues etc. In this situation, the system will automatically try again in a few days. In your case, I re-ran the scraping program - and this time it didn't fail)

Looks like both issues have now been resolved as you both have Status being displayed for both airlines.

Our AFF Verified Airline Status feature uses "scraping" technology to automatically and securely access the airline's website to get your status. The "scrape" could fail for a whole bunch of reasons which are out of our control. When this happens, your "AFF Verified Status" cannot be verified so it drops off your AFF profile. The AFF system then tries again a few days later and if the scrape is successful, the "AFF Verified Status" appears again on your AFF profile. Hope this clarifies things.
