I'll still bring my 11 BP to Tassy but agree that a range of wine will be good.
I just hope we find somewhere to drink them.

We will find somewhere - I will bring a glass for you (in case of emergency :p)

I am still happy to bring a '12 BP but wonder if it would be better to bring something else that is a stand alone like another in the Rockford range - Dry Country Grenache, a Rod n Spur (Cab Shiraz), a Moppa Springs (Mataro/Grenache/Shiraz) etc

OK, I'll bring a 'Bonzer' east coast Pinot Noir : 'The Constable' from Gala:

Well, it looks like I'll be able to be there :)

We have one spot available in the booking - anyone who would like to join us, please advise so here. If there is more than one, it will be subject to being able to increase the lunch booking.

I'm still waiting for my approval to enter the apple isle 🍎 🍎
Unfortunately you can only do it the day before. They do say 24 hours but when I have caught a BNE flight arriving in LST at 1545.I fly on Sunday and put in my application at 8am on Saturday. They reply quickly.

I don’t understand why you think it is strange/ridicule that people acclimatise to where they live @drron the flora you enjoy wouldn’t exist if the world only had the temperature range of the QLD Sunshine Coast

I'm sorry I have upset you @Steady but that post I assure you was not to ridicule Tasmanians or think it strange that people acclimatise. It was written in response to the previous post giving Hobart's prediction for the weekend as 13 and raining with launceston being a little warmer.

The cold is actually no problem for me.I often am just in a short sleeve shirt and no outer layer. Heck I even sweat in Antarctica. The second line is because in the last 2 weeks 2 locals have said how hot it is -one on a day at 16C the second it was 18C. they both said they were not looking forward to summer. Over the years this has happened a few times. The first time on my first working day in Tasmania over 14 years ago.
