I'm currently on page 8 of the US prospectus.See page 268-269 re “Australian” Prospectus.
I'll be looking seriously at it.So.. whose planning on investing in Space X IPO?!
Open a commsec account and then an international account. Very easy. Might want a few accounts if you want a bigger allocation.Broker email just now suggests they will have an allocation.. $875 > $440 range per equity.
Don't bother us with less than a 10k order… maybe 12 shares.. wow..
Also need immediate advice to open an International account , thought we had one.. hmmm
Tempted just for a giggle

I read that outside Commsec, any alternate source to acquire (via the USA prospectus) requires the person to be a “Sophisticated investor” (which I have), but easier via Commsec.Open a commsec account and then an international account. And with the inevitable scale back in allocations the “maybe 12 shares” is likely to become something like “maybe 5 shares”.Broker email just now suggests they will have an allocation.. $875 > $440 range per equity.

Commsec is open to all retail investors. No need to be a sophisticated investor.I read that outside Commsec, any alternate source to acquire (via the USA prospectus) requires the person to be a “Sophisticated investor” (which I have), but easier via Commsec.
I’ll probably try for an allocation and offload if they take off like a rocket (pun intended).
That’s what I said ie CommSec is a relatively easy option for Oz locals under the Australian IPO.Commsec is open to all retail investors. No need to be a sophisticated investor.
No, my reading was as above. ie buying into the IPO via the USA offer. When you say outside commsec - do you mean Macquarie wealth / other brokers that are able to sell the stock.
Yes, the entire constellation has to be turned over every 5-7 years when satellite position maintaining fuel runs out. With rocket launches just to maintain the number in space. I suppose that that allows iteration of the satellites. The satellites for the internet have a 5 to 7 year use by date and then they fail.
