Matthew Kidman, a portfolio manager at Centennial Asset Management, has also owned shares in DroneShield and said the sharp fall in the stock on Thursday was indicative of investor concerns about the company.
“There is a way to go about it and sometimes insiders sell part of their stake and explain why they’ve done it,” Kidman said. “Just getting your shares straight away and selling them almost automatically, and 100 per cent of them, is a different message to most investors, and that’s what’s been difficult for most people to comprehend. Obviously, people are upset.”
