AFF Member Stock Discussion

We went to T Mobile for e sims for our our phones and IPads as we prepare for our Mississippi River cruise.

Have you checked out this thread? It’s pretty easy to setup an eSIM without visiting a store.

Yes ALX distributions are taxable so the fiscal fiend does get a share. We are quite used to paying quarterly taxes and enjoy the current SMSF rate of zero on some distributions.
Getting the e sims from T Mobile was Mrscove’s. Idea. We left our US phones in Australia.

Following TLX Telix pharma. They're into prostate cancer detection. Illuccix.
I like their prospects and have good revenue, investors got overexcited earlier this year and price has now come back so am considering., But still seems expensive on PE but not on Revenue. Anyone following?

I have been looking at Droneshield (DRO) for some time. I have not pulled the trigger as I am concerned it has already had it's run albeit on the back of significant contracts. I had a chance ecounter yesterday with someone involved in testing and they informed me DRO staff numbers have gone from 180 a year ago to 400 now.
AEE still on an upward trajectory.
DRO have run up to $3.68 from $3.22 at time of this post. I didn't buy last week but won't jump in in this market.
AEE still going in a positive direction.

That Veem placement was way too popular so we received about 20% allocation tonight. It must have been rushed over at Euroz.
We have no plans to sell LYC which is Lynas as the management is highly rated.

Copper price is rising after a massive mud rush at Freeport's Grasberg mine killed several miners and led to production disruptions that are going to last into 2027. Grasberg was the world's second highest annual production of copper.

Australia should not be running deficits in any State nor Federally. Currently we are shoveling debt onto our next generations due to lack of discipline.
Agreed - we have a Tasmanian government that is hell-bent on spending a billion dollars (that they need to borrow) to build an AFL stadium in Hobart - even though their own planning commission has released a report saying that the stadium makes no sense from an economic, geographical and just about every other sense :(

A question - with the U.S. trying very hard to descend into civil war and anarchy - if it all turned to cough over there and essential services like electricity were disrupted potentially affecting a lot of cloud based servers and other "international infrastructure" over there - how badly would Australia be affected? Would our banking systems still work? What sorts of things might fail here in Australia that we haven't thought of?

Well I think we might struggle to supply our own data centres.

You can come over @RSD to see for yourself..You will see lots of drugs being advertised that we have never heard of.
If we haven't heard of them in Australia then if they became unavailable it probably won't cause any catastrophic problems.

It would be interesting to find out how many businesses (knowingly or unknowingly) rely on data centres in the U.S. I use gmail but I have no idea where that is stored.
