i think an overreaction is happening today.
i wonder if it will go to 200?

Bought more at $210.

Happy to keep buying if it goes down more.

With the U.S. possibly or probably heading into a recession - what is everyone's thoughts on the gold price for the next 24 months?

Anyone have some thoughts?

I do not hold Gold and really have no opinion ; if the market tanks, gold will spike, that's a given.
Why hold gold unless you expect the financial fabric to tear ?
We will have a correction sometime and we will also have recovery.
You will lose nothing , even in a major correction , unless you panic and join the lemmings at the door…... I have already lived through a few..
Basic , staple equities that will survive to fight another day have to be a better bet than gold , IMnsHO…...

Just putting all the factors together before deciding whether to invest in a junior gold explorer or not - a fair few factors in this one including that they will probably need to do a cap raise shortly.

I’d say you did pretty well buying at 210, seems to be consolidating around 220. Not that it couldn’t go down further but it’s still a great share so definitely don’t think it will stay down.

I'm just going to say that I currently disagree on CSL. I think it's on its way down and it has been since the Feb 2020 high.

One of our companies cracked a mention in largest holders of hybrids this year as we waited for investment ideas.

The next lot of key U.S. economic data gets released at 10.30pm SYD time on Friday 29th Aug - U.S. Core PCE data - which is the key indicator the U.S. Fed prefers to use to guide them. I guess we will find out a few things - but maybe not all of these
- how well the U.S. economy is going
- how loyal the new statistics guy is to Trump
- how long the new statistics guy is likely to keep his job
