AFF Member Stock Discussion

Seems everyone wants to fund their businesses with share issues, share purchase plans and new issues.
Took up some Acorn and will do Macquarie $30,000 share purchase plan. Others we need to consider.
Decided to sell Apollo which is AOP as 21 to 63 was too attractive. Yes a nice gain from a gold stock that received a couple of bids.

We invest together @kpc and my plus one has some slush that she won't put into the stock market.
You can sell some MQG Macquarie Bank and take up the new ones but that will trigger other issues that might please the fiscal fiend. It would also raise your average cost of your MQG shares.
As you know CMW Cromwell is to be viewed as an 8% taxable parking spot so when something else comes up you can trade them.

Will have to smash a piggybank or two to fund this...wonder if +1 would lend me some $$ interest free?!
I'm going to have to do more than smash a piggy bank. I have 5 holdings for PL8 and 3 for MQG. At $30,000 each, that's $240K I need to find and tie up for a few weeks for hopefully a quick 5% return.

Provided there are no dividends you could sell some to buy some to lock in a definite amount which in MQG Macquarie Bank that could be 5%.
If they don’t allot the full number of shares that would not be good.

I've actually bought some more at $1.20 and will be participating fully in the SPP at the lower rate. It's a very rare stock that pays a solid 5% dividend monthly.
Interesting. Too late for SPP. Not sure this is the right time to buy in now. Interested see what happen when SPP start trading.

Well done on AOP, I had a look last year when it was circa 30c but didn't buy. Did they have some good drilling news to push the price up?

With travel looking like it will get moving in 2022 for Australians we will have less spare time for the stockmarket.
AOP Apollo had some pretty good drill results and the 2 companies looked at taking the company over. We have shares in Trident TRR which has the gold royalty deal once they start gold mining.
Bellevue Gold BGL extended their Share Purchase Plan and it is now in the money with Friday being the closure.Their proposed mine summary is a very good read and impressive to non geologists like us.
Took up some APM with their new float from Bell Potter.
Took up some Acorn ACQ as that too is in the money.Their issue closes on Friday too.

Today we took up the Macquarie MQG Share Purchase Plan.
Bought some Codan CDA in our Superfund that is self managed.

Any thoughts on CMC markets? Noticed we can use BPAY to fund the CMC's ANZ investment account. So technically, we can use our credit cards to fund our investments with no cash advance fees? Am I missing something here???

I use CMC Markets, my online trading account. Yes they switched to ANZ recently. Even Macquarie now.
Fantastic trading account, always help on hand, very clear etc.

I'm not sure how to use credit card to transfer thru BPay. Heard this theory before but not over it tbh.

Don’t follow CMC so cannot comment.
We hope to get to the Strike Energy AGM on Monday.Need to know why they got it wrong and what they are doing about it.
Saw the directors buying some this past week.

CMC is a trading account. Online broker. Not a stock!
Hahaha, sorry mate.

I'm already using BPay to pay my Rent and Council payments with Sniip. So this is proven.
