AFF Member Stock Discussion

Yes @Dr Ralph we have that one @$3.10. They have an execution risk but should be ok.
Might add to NWH as their recent report was misunderstood to cut their share price by a third. We bought @ $2.10 and would like some under $2.

Today we bid for WA based mineral sands miner to be Strandline who plan to export their mining products thru Geraldton port. With the finalisation of these share issues this project will be fully funded.
Next we did a small late bid for Latitude as they are only raising $200 million rather than $2.6 billion. May get none and that would be ok too.
Haven’t bought any more NWH but they are close to my low limit. Selling at around $3 a month ago turned out to be a good idea.
Bought some Plenti today to average down our entry price which was too high.
Over the weekend we applied for some more units in Ophir Global High Conviction Fund as 29th March was the cut off for a new purchase in April,2021. This is an unlisted fund and there is a barrier to entry.

We did get the other half of our lower priced NWH order plus we bought MLD which is MACA and PRN which is Perenti. Those contractors prices dropped to a level that was attractive to us. They bounced on Thursday to make us feel like temporary gurus.
The $AUD and gold price keep bouncing around.
No word so far on Latitude.....
The BS factor will get going hard as the stock gets ready to list. Should be entertaining level of BS....

Had to sell some shares in our SMSF as the share values have risen beyond a combined $3.2 million so it is time to do a pension withdrawal. Yes we can do that.
Mrscove still wants to sell some Elixir which is EXR but they keep going up despite the country risk of Mongolia.
Mrscove is more comfortable with Warrego WGO with their very large onshore gas discovery that they half share with Strike Energy.

why ? we can't earn better outside the fund in after tax $$ ..... can you ? (how…🧐 )

Just don’t need the inconvenience of more reporting @tgh. Maybe we should pay 15% tax so you have got me thinking about it.
We have a friend who has more than 4 times this amount and he seems pretty relaxed about it.
When we dumped AMP we had about $750,000 and it has been fun investing and using E Super to do the compliance /tax returns/audit supervision.
We bought some Acumentis which is ACU at 11.5. The real estate valuation business is getting busy since December so this one could is interesting. Last time we bought it was around 8 cents.

We try to stay below the personal income thresholds that get us free scrips and doctors visits.. It isn't easy but probably worth the effort.
The actuarial 15% is absorbed by franking credits so we don't actually pay any tax but the annual franking credit payment is reduced..

We did buy some Calix shares while a placement and share purchase plan was in progress. This company may turn into a real winner but the price may get held back by these share issues. Probably should give us more than a month or two to get set at a reasonable entry price.

We are unsure as to why Reece shares have run up to $19 but we are not sellers. That code is REH and the shares have more than doubled.
Wish we had bought way more Tyro shares as their processing volumes have jumped.
With Plenti which is PLT we averaged down to get out of a loss from the listing price. Their latest report was pretty good.
We sold Alice Queen as their partner pulled out.

Uptick in A2m today after Bell Potter upped them to a buy

Au has had its lesson about who wears the pants and the Chinese are always pragmatic in business.
The Kiwi's are sucking up to them big time… maybe worth a dabble...

A dabble, or rather a gamble, is what it would be! A2M is in a firmly established downtrend with no obvious signs of that reversing.

Looking at Little Green Pharma which is LGP. Might visit them.
We did bid for Regis @ $2.70 as they are bidding for the Tropicana interest that IGO is selling.

Today we are bidding into the Strike Energy placement @30 cents. They want to do downstream processing of their exciting onshore gas discovery to make fertiliser and hydrogen. Their code is STX and they are in trading halt today.
We have shares in Warrego who are Strike’s 50% partner.
We look at Elixir and their shares have moved up to 45 cents. The risk in Mongolia.....

Today we our back in green with Plenti shares. We averaged down and it worked. That doesn’t always work.
Bought between $1.00 and $1.05 in the average down. We used Commsec rather than the placement broker as 0.11% brokerage is attractive.
