Highlights for me were Bass Phillip Premium range, Crawford River Rieslings, Dalwhinnie (2000 Eagle Shiraz on tasting) as well as the Bindi range.

So less room than last time at Ormond Hall? :(

Crawford River was perhaps my favourite back then, although they were all good - a great event as you say :)

Def less room sadly.

They used the shorter tasting tables that meant queuing rather than a spread out line. So of course anyone that got to the front stayed there and went through the range.

We got our samples and moved away to allow others access and then.......sorry queue up again.

I really hate the tasting etiquette of some punters and the older crowd were the worst by far. (I'm 46 so much referring to much older punters)

Forgot to mention one for the ladies this Thursday night:

Handpicked's Wine Wedding @ NOTEL, 6-9pm this Thursday ($44.88)(

a feast of fine wine tastings, toasties, music and fun all atop the brand new Notel rooftop space in Melbourne CBD - in vintage airstreams.
This event sold out in Sydney in 2015 and is travelling to Melbourne for the first time ever.

:(

Hopefully people complain and they do it again but better

Are you going to Pinot Palooza again this Saturday?

The VIP passes will be worth it if the crowds/queues can be avoided :)

Hi Guys - for the Melbourne people there's a great dinner coming up at the Royal Mail Hotel on Spencer St on the 17th of November. Steve Raidis from Raidis Estate in the Coonawarra with be bringing two of the estate goats across for a 3 course feast. Along with the tasty morsels Steve will have the current release range as well as back vintage wines.

There's even a chance to taste the very good Cide Project apple cider (9.2%!) - I can attest that it's a cracking drop made from around 24 different Kalangadoo apples.

Great people, great food and wines.

Hope you can come along.

The Cellardoor.co one looks great qaz! I have been told that I am busy for the Mt Mary lunch unfortunately...

How does one get on the cellardoor membership list? Does anyone have a link they could send or PM?

Cellardoor.co is invite only - there were a few of us that had invites ~month ago, but they've expired that now.

That said, for the past events, any Cellardoor member could buy 4+ tickets, so just need to find someone else from Melbourne going. At the event, they will sign you up.

I'm a member on Cellardoor, but I just tried to grab tix and got the notification "Sorry, this event is invitation-only and we could not find you on the invitation list." Is anyone familiar with their events? Is the invitation list separate to being a member?

There are different types of membership - my Rosemount account received an invitation, but not my shareholder one (though [post=1465244]there was also a shareholder wine fair last year[/post])

Besides it and the [post=1635762]Bindi and William Downie events next week,[/post]

Are you going to the William Downie event qaz? I am booked in!
