I'm already booked for the AMAQ conference in Spain in September if anyone wants to join :D

That one looked great (?Madrid wasnt it?) but i'll be in SFO for ICAAC in early September.

Declaring no conflicts of interest, can I heartily endorse the ASHM conference. It's a really great conference for anyone remotely interested in HIV Medicine. The ASHM website also has great resources.

24th Australasian HIV/AIDS Conference

My attendance at the First AFFMM (gotta have a good abbreviation - Aust Freq Fly Medical Meeting seems a good one) will be subject to leave pass. Given I'm starting a new role in Mid September, and away early September, I may be pushing my luck with both work and mrsdoc to try and get away again in Late September/ Early October.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

If someone is interested in doing the organising, I feel they should just pick a date and location, announce it and start the planning. Any weekend will be guaranteed to have a few of us away, and school holidays will be better for some and worse for others. It should have/be at a Hilton, however. Who isn't diamond or gold here?

*hands up* Loyal to SPG all the way here :)

I think drron is fairly SPG-positive. I'm only SPG Gold by virtue of the Amex card.

I'm toying with the idea of putting my hand up to organise this, but I'm a little apprehensive. I know people like munitalP are very good at organising these things and I am unlikely to do as successful a job at this as he could. The other issue is that I've met so few of you in person. Perhaps I will feel better about this after I meet a pile of you at the end of the year AFF dinner in Melbourne - there are a few of us medicos there.

I'm SPG nothing, and couldn't organise a p!ss up in a brewery by myself but I'm very happy to help out in any way I can ;)

Today I feel an urgent need for us to study Evidence based Administration.:evil::confused:

I missed this thread - I am an ED Nurse Practitioner working locum shifts on the Sunshine Coast in between the oil rigs (PNG)... I would love to join in if dates work out.

Seriously, I am happy to organise this - it is going to be a matter of dates. It strikes me that medical people are tied up for months in advance, so maybe a six months window from planning to event occurring might be a reasonable window. That would suggest about April-June next year. I will start thinking about this. Given I'm hardly an accomplished event planner, you might have to go easy on me. Unless maybe someone wants to assist and work together on it?

I had a lovely degustation dinner at Sepia last week for $150 (food only), which is Sydney's latest 3 hat restaurant. If the event is held in Sydney, maybe we could consider going there...

Sounds good, to Sepia and Beardoc/Princess Fiona.

Put a date out there and let the games begin!
