Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Unless I've missed someone the list in post #3 is now up to date.

Thanks, I should have looked! 4 def's, 12 maybe's.

I'm keen to book some accommodation and being a newbie to these AFF official gatherings, what do attendees do in that regard. Each book their own preference? As I'm accruing HH points for Maldives, I'm thinking of Hilton for me and I'm assuming others will be too, but the one thing certain about the GC is that there is no shortage of accommodation houses. Events seem to be centralising around the neighbouring suburbs of Surfers Paradise/Broadbeach unless there's more interest shown in Liams idea of a Peppers country lodge.......which has merit, winter, wine, open fire......do they have an open fire?

Edit....a fireplace in the guest lounge....

Each usually book their own accom, however it is not unusual for multiple AFFers to stay at the same place.
Plus there is nothing stopping a motivated member organising some sort of group booking...

An open fire at the end of OCtober - huh????? Its normally hot and storm season, which always wrecked havoc with Indy with close to half the days receiving rainfall:

It is being looked into. Haha.

But don't want to go too all inclusive or you'll have no freedom.

At the moment, I've got nothing on that weekend so colour me gold and put me down as a probably :)

Please list me as Platinum

I will be on the Gold Coast this Saturday (12th), so I'm happy to try out a venue or two, and throw my two cents in for helping out with organisation where I can.

Gold for myself and +1. Hopefully our move to Brisbane will be done and dusted by then. :)

Just for an update incase anyone thought I was taking a vacation now, today penegal flew up to the Gold Coast and together we scouted a few venues, saw what was offered and shortened the list somewhat. I don’t want to reveal too much before I can make sure it’s feasible, but things are coming together in the background.

Still looking for a bar with a view though!

Put me as Gold with +1.

What about the bar at the top of the tall building.

I had a mojito there and it was cheap and pleasant!! With a decent size group they may block an area off for us.

That'd be Q1, I've got an apartment there.

Perhaps, will have a look this week if I have time, but trying to keep away from their restaurant as their reviews are shocking!

Ok, how about Liam's living room then? :D

Seriously though, I do like the idea of drinks at the top of a tall building. There's a bar in Sydney that I like to go to from time to time to catch the sunset with a coughtail or three: coughtail with a view which when the sun sets turns into this View from a coughtail drinking position :)

Put me down as Gold for this. I'll definitely be in for the main dinner and drinks, but as it's my mother's birthday the following week (who's based on the GC) I'll also be up there for that (and need to decide what I'm doing for her!)

Does the Crowne (the old Travelodge), still have the revolving restaurant? Haven't been there in donkeys, but as I recall, it was better during the day than at night (better views).

Sorry penegal, I actually forgot you were coming up this weekend. I was going to try to catch up, but my attentions were elsewhere.......my +1s car is playing up (never buy a Merc) so we went out and bought her a new one yesterday (not a Merc ).

Groupon regularly have discounts for the flight simulators. May be worth watching out for.

That Flight Simulator isn't actually a real one, it's a mock up simulator running Microsoft Flight Simulator X in which only half of the stuff works, nowhere near as real as the more decent ones out there such as Flight Experience - Flight Simulators - Take the ride of your life on our Flight Simulator

It's good if you want a taste of flying, but I can tell you it's nothing like the real thing, or the real simulators.
