AFF Gathering #19 in ADL on 30 October - 1 November 2026

Save the date! The 2026 AFF annual member gathering will be in Adelaide from 30 October - 1 November 2026.

This event will include welcome drinks on Friday evening, a winery tour to McLaren Vale on Saturday, and a more formal dinner with a guest speaker on Saturday evening.

All AFF members and their friends & family are welcome to attend. Most people usually fly into the host city on Friday afternoon, and leave on Sunday afternoon. Of course, if you're an Adelaide local, the flying part is optional.

There is a $5 registration fee per participant, plus the cost of any activities and/or meals that you choose to join.

If you'd like to attend, keep an eye out for updates on this thread - and feel free to post your status (see below for more info)! Once you've booked flights and accommodation, please also post your flight/hotel details in this thread!

For those unfamiliar with the AFF terminology:

• "Platinum" means your attendance is confirmed and you have booked flights/accommodation
• "Gold" means you're likely to attend but will need to confirm at a later time
• "Silver" means you're unlikely to attend at this stage
• "Bronze" means you're unable to attend.

While I realise the wine is the focus, the d'Arenberg Cube itself is an attraction in itself - architecture, the view from the top. But I understand your decision.

And if you're not into wine - they have a wonderful Gin collection!

For anyone else who has this issue - please use the "dietary requirements" field to let us know if none of the menu options for Saturday night work for you.

The options provided in the dropdown for the Saturday dinner works for me and I have selected my options.

However, I could not see anything specific for the Set Lunch Menu at Harry's Deli for the Wine Tasting lunch - for this lunch, I have indicated my dietary requirements in the "dietary requirements" field. For the wine tasting set lunch menu only : Vegetarian - no eggs, no seafood, no meat. If Vegetarian not available, can do Vegan also if that's easier.

The dietary requirements field on the registration form is the correct place to let us know what you can/can't eat at Harry's Deli. We will pass all of this information on to the restaurant and they will look after you.

We hope to have a booking form up soon, but I know a few have been waiting to hear about Saturday activities, so the wiki has been updated, and here's the run down:
Friday night
The plan for Friday is to meet for drinks at Lady Burra Brewhouse, exact timing to be confirmed. Lady Burra Brewhouse is the only operational microbrewery in the Adelaide CBD.

Following drinks members are free to get food together at this venue or move to another location.
Saturday
The group activity on Saturday is an Adelaide City Highlights Tour. Starting at 0900 (pickup location(s)...
